AIK was one of 63 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Eken cup 2017. They participated with 18 teams in 13 out of Eken cups all 23 categories. Four teams played until Final Girls06 D in Slutspel A; Girls 06 won over Älta IF by 14-3, Girls 05 won over Kungsängens SK 2 by 14-12, Boys 05 lost against ÅRSTA AIK HF by 7-11 and Senior Women lost against GT Söder by 10-12.
In addition to this, AIK have participated in Eken cup before. During Eken cup 2016, AIK had 16 teams playing in 11 out of Eken cups all 22 categories. Five teams played until 21-22 in Slutspel A; Girls 07 2 won over Spårvägens HF 1 by 18-17, Senior Women won over HK Silwing/Troja by 10-8, Girls 07 1 lost against Skånela IF by 17-19, Girls 06 1 lost against Hammarby Handboll Vit by 20-24 and Girls 06 2 lost against IK Bolton 2 by 13-18. AIK comes from Solna which lies approximately 13 km from Stockholm, where Eken cup takes place. The area around Solna does also provide 51 additional clubs participating during Eken cup 2017 (Among others: Skånela IF, Westermalms IF, HK Silwing Troja, Hanviken Handboll, Gustavsbergs IF HK, Skogås HK, IF Swithiod HK, Spårvägens HF, Gustavsbergs IF and IF Swithiod).
