In addition to Åkersberga HK, 28 other teams from 4 different countries played in Boys 03. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Åkersberga HK could be found in Group C together with Borgå Akilles 1, Sollefteå HK, HK Cliff, HK Silwing/Troja, ÅRSTA AIK HF and Uppsala HK.
Åkersberga HK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 3:rd place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against BK-46 with 15-19. In the Final, Tyresö Handboll won over Skogås HK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 03. Åkersberga HK also participated in Boys 03 during Eken cup 2016.
