In addition to AIK, 11 other teams from 4 different countries played in Boys 02. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof AIK could be found in Group A together with Hammarby Handboll 1, IFK Tumba HK, SK VIIMSI HC, Tyresö Handboll and Kyrkslätt IF.

AIK continued to Slutspel B after reaching 5:th place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against SKRIVERI with 10-23. In the Final, Skogås HK won over Skuru IK and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 02.
