In addition to the two Vassunda teams, 25 other teams from 3 different countries played in Girls 06. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Vassunda IF 1 could be found in Group A together with Skuru IK 2, IK Bolton 2, Tyresö Handboll 1, Bk-46 and Djurgårdshof IK.

Vassunda IF 1 continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Gustavsbergs IF HK with 13-18. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja won over Gustavsbergs IF HK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 06.
