In addition to HIFK, 31 other teams from 4 different countries played in Boys 05. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof HIFK could be found in Group C together with Spånga HK, Skuru IK, Lidingö SK, Skogås HK Grön and GT Söder.

HIFK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IK Bolton 1 with 15-17. In the Final, Åkersberga HK won over Tyresö Handboll Röd and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 05.
